We have a big one coming up. A client in Rome is getting ready to completely redo their backyard - all 5 acres of it. And when we say completely, we mean it. This is the kind of scope that most people only dream about, and we are genuinely excited to get started.

The vision includes a hosting barn built for entertaining, a full tennis court lined with manicured shrubs and landscape lighting, a fire pit area with string lights overhead, a resort-style pool with a geometric stone surround, and a timber-frame barn with a cupola and loft storage. Every piece of this property is being thought through from the ground up.

What makes this one stand out is the level of detail going into the planning. The hosting barn alone is designed with bowling lanes, a playground, arcade games, a lounge area, and a covered lean-to hangout space. The barn design specs call for board and batten siding, black metal roofing, wood posts and beams, and oversized glass doors. It is not just a building - it is a destination on their own property.

The landscape side of things is just as thought out. Lit pathways, uplighting on mature trees, shaped hedgerows bordering the court, and plantings that tie the whole space together. When you have 5 acres to work with, the goal is to make every corner of it feel intentional - not just maintained.
